Synopsis

A South Korean Navy helicopter vanishes during a ROK-U.S. joint military exercise and crash-lands on a deserted island where time and space have collapsed. There, the crew encounters soldiers lost ten years earlier and comes face-to-face with the entity known as “It.” To return home, they must survive and uncover the truth.

HA Myungmi

Director HA Myungmi is a screenwriter and the founder of Whenever Studio. She was invited to the 20th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival with her short film The Pulley by Steven Kwang. Her debut feature Her Hobby won the NH Nonghyup Distribution Support Award in the Korean Competition at the 27th BIFAN, and was nominated for Best New Director at the 47th S?o Paulo International Film Festival and for Best Low-Budget Genre Film at the 11th Wildflower Film Awards Korea. She was also recognized for her originality and promise as a rising director at the 2023 Jakarta Film Week and the 10th London East Asia Film Festival. Her second feature Hallan, starring Kim Hyang-gi, was both written and directed by her and is slated for release in the second half of 2025. 

Producer

YANG Younghee

Producer YANG Younghee collaborates closely with director HA Myungmi and is an active producer at Whenever Studio. She has produced films that balance artistry and audience appeal, including Her Hobby (2023) and Hallan (set for release in 2025). Based on extensive experience in both documentary and narrative filmmaking, she is now expanding into animation, publishing, and IP development, while currently leading the planning and development of LYNX.

Whenever Studio is a production company founded by writer-director HA Myungmi.
The studio aims to capture the spirit of the times and human emotions through sensuous and narrative-driven films, and seeks to explore genre-crossing storytelling. It co-produced Everglow (2021) with Myung Films, and produced Her Hobby (2023) and Hallan (set for release in 2025). With a focus on sustainable production and creative collaboration, Whenever Studio plans to expand into international co-productions.
