Now in its ninth year, the program aims to standardize information about the Asian film industry and build key networks. Through these efforts, we strive to create a practical foundation for systematic exchange and collaboration.

Co-production beyond Pan Asia

We aim to explore the current landscape of active pan-Asian co-productions, encompassing not only Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, but also the status and future prospects of co-productions with North America and Europe. Through this forum, we will illuminate the efforts of prominent producers in each country who are consistently advancing co-productions, along with insights from key governmental entities in the Asian film industry and stakeholders from Western regions. This forum aims to provide an insightful and valuable opportunity to delve into diverse perspectives on collaborative filmmaking

Emmanuel PISARRA

Representative Office Director Japan (UNI FRANCE)

Emmanuel Piasarra is the Director of the Japan Representative Office at UniFrance in Tokyo. He oversees the promotion of French cinema in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and India. Joining UniFrance in 2013, he has significantly contributed to organizing French film festivals and markets in Asia, as well as producing economic reports on the Asian film industry. His role involves managing various film-related events and programs, aiming to enhance the international recognition of French films.

LEE Dong-ha

CEO & Producer of REDPETER FILMS / Representative Director of Producers Guild of Korea(PGK)

LEE Dongha participated as a producer in several notable films including the Korea-France co-production A Brand New Life (2009), the Cannes award-winning Poetry (2010), Hwayi: A Monster Boy (2013), and A Man and A Woman (2015). In 2014, he founded REDPETER FILMS and produced Train to Busan (2016), which was a major success domestically and internationally. He also produced Psychokinesis (2017), Another Child (2018), Birthday (2018), and Peninsula (2020). The 2024 Netflix series The Bequeathed topped the global non-English TV category. Currently, he is preparing for the release of TVING's documentary series Life Line: The Special Rescue Team 3 and the film Hideaway. In 2024, he was elected Representative Director of the Korean Film Producers Association (PGK).

Lorna TEE

Producer (Paperheart, Malaysia) & Secretary General (Asian Film Alliance Network/ AFAN, pan Asia)

Lorna Tee is a film producer, programmer and curator, dividing her time between Asia and Europe. She has worked with Focus Films (Hong Kong), Variety (USA), Irresistible Films (Hong Kong/ Japan), and also film festivals such as Asian Film Awards, Berlinale, CinemAsia Film Festival and others. She was the co-founder and Head of Festival Management for the International Film Festival & Awards Macao. She is producing with her Malaysian production company Paperheart, and with Amsterdam-based company, An Original Picture, primarily focusing on film and television productions for an international audience. She is currently the curator/ director of an incubation development lab for emerging filmmakers in Asia, and the international acquisitions and co productions consultant for Barunson E&A (South Korea). In addition, she is the Secretary General for the Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN) - a collective of 7 film agencies from Asia to foster closer understanding and enhance collaboration within the region.acc

Shanty C. HARMAYN

Producer / Chief Executive of BASE Entertainment

SHANTY HARMAYN is an Indonesian film producer based in Jakarta. She has been in the film industry for more than 25 years. She is currently the Co-Chief Executive of BASE ENTERTAINMENT, a Jakarta and Singapore based film studio with focus on development, financing, production and distribution. She has produced award winning Indonesian films such as: Sang Penari(The Dancer) in 2011 by Ifa Isfansyah - Best Indonesian Film 2011 and Indonesia’s Foreign Language entry to Academy Awards 2012; The Photograph a film by one of Indonesia’s leading female director, Nan Achnas - Special Jury Prize at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2008. Educated at Stanford University, she also co-founded Jakarta International Film Festival - JiFFest (1999) and InDOCS (www.indocs.org) (2002). Now sits on the board of InDOCS and APROFI Association of Indonesian Film Producer (https:// aprofi.co.id).

Tan Si En is a film & TV producer and founder of film and tv company - Momo Film Co (part of Fremantle). Si En produced Dreaming & Dying by Nelson Yeo which made its World Premiere and won two prestigious Golden Leopards at the Locarno Film Festival 2023. And Wet Season by Anthony Chen which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival 2019, Platform Competition. Wet Season was selected by the Singapore Film Commission as the nation’s Oscars 2021 representative and was lauded critically, receiving 12 awards internationally including the distinguished Golden Horse Awards. Their latest co production The Year Of The Everlasting Storm premiered in Cannes Film Festival 2021, Arnold Is A Model Student by Sorayos Prapapan premiered in Locarno Film Festival 2022, Andragogy by Wregas Bhanuteja premiered in Toronto 2023.
