Launched in 2020, Work In Progress is a program that supports the post-production of completed-shoot projects, with the aim of discovering outstanding content and broadening the foundation of genre cinema. Projects selected through review of rough cuts and shooting scripts receive post-production support in color grading (DI), sound mixing, and digital mastering (DCP), thanks to the sponsorship of the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), Singapore's Mocha Chai Laboratories, Thailand's Kantana Post Production, and Malaysia's Abnormal Studios. New this year, Vietnam's Bad Clay Studio joins the program to provide VFX support.

Sitges FanPitch is the genre film industry program of the Sitges Film Festival, held in Catalonia, Spain. NAFF and Sitges FanPitch have partnered since 2017 to promote the genre film industry and expand their networks. Through reciprocal awards, each program offers its winning projects the chance to participate in the other, actively supporting exchange between East and West in the genre film business.

Cannes Fantastic 7 is a genre film industry initiative jointly organized by the Sitges Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival's Marché du Film, with seven leading international festivals participating each year. BIFAN has taken part since the program's inaugural year in 2019, and this year introduced director HUH Gun's Last Mankind to the Marché du Film as its selected project. The participating festivals continue to collaborate on nurturing global talent and advancing the fantastic genre.
