NAFF Project Spotlight is a program that selects an Asian country each year to focus on and introduce its genre films. This year, in collaboration with Jakarta Film Week, Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and the APROFI, present the current state of Indonesian genre films.
Selected projects are showcased to global industry professionals through the ¡°Project Spotlight Indonesia Pitching & Luncheon¡± event. They will get the opportunities to have 1:1 business meetings to discuss co-production, investment and distribution. The outstanding projects will receive awards of cash or in-kind support.
Many projects have achieved significant success through the Project Spotlight. Notably, the 2022 selected project The Journey to Gyeongju (KIM Mijo) won the Rising Films International Awards at the Asian Contents & Film Market 2023, securing an investment of up to 1 billion KRW.
