The NAFF Fantastic Film School is a genre film production education and networking program for emerging filmmakers from around the world. Renowned international experts from all fields of the film industry are invited as mentors to create a curriculum that is practical and applicable to real-world film production. Based on this principle NAFF Fantastic Film School has trained 370 filmmakers for the last 16 years.
The participants will transform into new driving forces in the genre film industry through an integrated curriculum of lectures by industry experts and team-based workshops. The lectures will cover essential aspects of filmmaking, including scriptwriting, producing, and film editing. Additionally, they will explore strategies for submitting films to festivals and examine films from both the director's and festival's perspectives. Through team workshops, mentees will develop their projects and receive direct feedback and mentoring from professional mentors during project presentations.
This year, NAFF Fantastic Film School included an AI conference in the curriculum, featuring speakers who are global leaders in AI film production. Attendees will learn about the impact of AI technology on the film industry and explore various international case studies. The conference will also examine the potential of AI as an effective creative tool for creators who have limited access to substantial production capital.
Emerging filmmakers dreaming of making their mark alongside mentors and industry leaders worldwide will exchange know-how, insights, and fresh ideas, generating a powerful synergy. Through this, they will form international networks within the genre film industry and create a sustainable creative environment in the rapidly changing film industry. As a result, NAFF Fantastic Film School will solidify its position as the top genre film education program in Asia.
