The Nordic Genre Invasion is a non-profit platform that supports film marketing, distribution, and collaboration for Northern European genre film producers. It has maintained ties with NAFF since 2015, presenting projects from filmmakers affiliated with the Nordic Genre Invasion that have the potential to co-produce with an Asian production company.

Selected projects are showcased to global industry professionals and network through the ¡°Nordic Genre Invasion Pitching and Luncheon¡± event. They will have opportunities to have 1:1 business meetings to discuss co-production, investment and distribution. Outstanding projects will receive awards of cash or in-kind support.

Nightmare was selected for the Nordic Genre Invasion in 2018, and was completed in the second half of 2022. The film was invited to the Fantastic Fest and to the competition section of the SITGES-International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.
