Synopsis

Behind the red door in the house where Mara (8) lives with her foster family, dwells a terrifying monster. Usually, Mara only sees its shadow but sometimes a tentacle will appear from under the door that hungrily reaches for the children. In order to escape the monster Mara tries to enlist the help of the mythical Boezehappert, a female water creature with long sharp claws and glowing green eyes that is known to grab children, after which they are never heard from again.
