Synopsis

Set in Indonesia during World War II, Desi (26) is plagued by an ominous recurring dream, where a woman in white beckons to her husband's ancestral home. Once there she discovers that the house has been taken over by its caretaker, backed by a traitorous ex-military soldier, leaving her mentally-ill grandaunt to live there alone in squalor. As tensions rise with the caretaker, Desi must uncover a gruesome incident that happened in the past as the woman in white becomes increasingly nefarious.

Adriyanto DEWO

Adriyanto DEWO has directed several acclaimed short films such as Song of the Silent Heroes (2010), Waiting For Color (2012), and Heaven is Not a Place (2015). His feature films include Tabula Rasa (2014), which earned him Best Director at the Indonesian Film Festival, Homecoming (2019), Galang (2022) for which he won Best Director at the NETPAC Asian Film Festival in Jogjakarta, and Kajiman (2023).

Perlita Desiani

Perlita DESIANI, the founder of Relate Films, gained recognition with Homecoming (2019), which won Best Screenplay at The Indonesian Film Festival. She later produced One Night Stand (2021) and premiered Kajiman (2023). Currently, she is wrapping up post-production on her drama film shot in South Korea, set for release in mid-2024.

Relate Films, an Indonesian company based in Jakarta, was founded in 2017 by Perlita Desiani and Adriyanto Dewo. Adriyanto's debut film, Tabula Rasa, which focuses on family history intertwined with food, earned him the Best Director award at the 2014 Indonesia Film Festival. Adriyanto embarked on his second project, Homecoming, with Perlita joining as Producer and won the Best Original Screenwriter award at the 2020 Indonesia Film Festival. Following this, Relate Films produced their first horror film, Kajiman (2022), and a drama titled Goodbye Farewell which was shot in South Korea. Currently, they are developing a horror film set for release in 2025, respectively, with Perlita as Producer and Adriyanto as Writer/Director.
