LEE Jinjoon

Professor at Culture Technology of KAIST / Director of KAIST Art & Technology Center / Media Artist

Professor Lee Jinjoon (FRSA) is a new media artist and scholar who is currently researching convergence works on liminal space experiences using new technology. He held his first solo exhibition, Role Play at the Arko Art Museum of the Korean Arts Council in 2007 and has conducted more than 50 exhibitions and lectures at art galleries around the world since then. He is currently a professor at the Graduate School of Culture and Technology at KAIST and a special professor at the New Content Academy of the Korea Creative Content Agency. Based on humanities reflection, he runs a research lab (PI) that studies the total (Gesamtkunstwerk) experience of art, architecture, design, and future opera using new scientific technologies such as data, XR, and AI.

Dave Clark is an award-winning filmmaker known for pioneering AI in storytelling across film, TV, and advertising. Based in Southern California, he excels in dark, grounded sci-fi/horror narratives, amassing millions of views for his viral AI-directed work. Endorsed by SAG(Screen Actors Guild) President Fran Drescher, Dave has spoken about the future of filmmaking to SAG-AFTRA(Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) members. He has collaborated with industry icons like Sir Ridley Scott and John Gaeta and shared his insights at prestigious events such as Berlinale, MIT, and Cannes. Dave also directs commercials for major brands like HP, Pepsi, Intel, Diageo, and Snapchat, and partners with actors/activists like Michael Ealy and George Clooney to promote justice and inclusion through storytelling. He is represented by UTA and Aperture Entertainment.

KWON Hansl

Director / CEO of Freewilluision Studio

Kwon Hansl holds a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies from Chungang University. His work has been showcased at numerous film festivals both domestically and internationally, garnering multiple awards. He is the CEO of Studio Freewillusion, the only AI-focused video production startup in Korea recognized on the global stage. Kwon has also achieved double honors at the 1st AI Film Festival by Expo City Dubai (AIFF), winning both the Grand Prize and the Audience Award.

Matthew NIEDERHAUSER

Technical Director at Onassis ONX

Matthew Niederhauser is an artist and educator. His work pushes the limits of emerging AI and XR technologies within a wide range of mediums. He studied anthropology at Columbia University before earning his MFA in Art Practice from SVA while also a Pulitzer Center Grantee, Visiting Artist at the MIT Center for Art, Science, and Technology (CAST) and Member of NEW Inc. At NEW Inc. he cofounded Sensorium, an experiential studio working at the forefront of immersive storytelling. When not focusing on projects that have premiered at the Venice Film Festival, Sundance New Frontier, Tribeca Festival, SXSW, and IDFA DocLab, he teaches at NYU Tisch and Tandon. Most recently, Matthew became the Technical Director at Onassis ONX in New York.

Professor in the Department of Film at Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts), Director of Art and Technology Lab at K-Arts

Lee Seungmoo currently serves as the director of Art and Technology Lab at the Center for Convergence Arts at Korea National University of Arts. He is active as a filmmaker, XR creator, writer, and director. His works such as Scarecrow (2020) and Eys in the Red Wind (2017) have been invited to and awarded at major film festivals including Sundance Film Festival and Tribeca Festival. He conducts interdisciplinary research in collaboration with institutions like Pohang University of Science and Technology and Korea University School of Medicine, focusing on virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and mental health.

Ethan SHAFTEL

Director of the XR Work Gargoyle Doyle

Ethan Shaftel is renowned for his diverse work encompassing film, interactive design, and immersive media. His previous projects include the interactive comedy Ajax All Powerful (2020), starring Henry Winkler and Chris Parnell, which was nominated at the Venice International Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Festival, and the VR Work Kaiju Confidential (2019), which was invited to the Sundance Film Festival and the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Kaiju Confidential (2019) was also nominated for Best VR Animation at the Annie Awards. He possesses extensive knowledge in traditional film, music videos, and multi-screen media for immersive spaces, performances, and theater.

Ezequiel LENARDON

Creative executive Producer of AZULIK, Detona Cultura / Creative Producer of the VR and episodic series 4 Feet High

Ezequiel Lenardon is a Creative Producer and International Lawyer specialized in Audiovisual Arts & Technology from Argentina. He received formation in Law and Contemporary Documentaries at Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. He furthered his formation at the Cannes Film Festival Producers Network, The Biennale di Venezia College Cinema VR, the Locarno Documentary School and the Sundance Institute. Since 2011 he has created and produced art interventions and audiovisual projects in various cities, galleries, and museums mainly in Argentina, Brazil, India and Mexico. He was the creative producer of the awarded VR and Episodic series 4 Feet High (2020) that premiered at Venice International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, Annecy International Animated Film Festival and many other festivals, the series was co produced and is distributed by Arte France. His focus are XR creative projects that blend technology with social, environmental and cultural impact.

Myriam ACHARD

Chief of New Media Partnerships and PR Centre PHI

A driving force in communications, Myriam Achard has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and press relations. She has worked to develop and promote the Canadian and international avant-garde arts scene. She has been Chief, New Media Partnerships & PR at the PHI Centre since it opened in 2012, and is Director of Communications for the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art since its opening in 2007.

She has devoted a great deal of her energy to representing PHI internationally, and has thus created an extraordinary distribution network for immersive projects on which PHI takes part today as a co-producer, as well as a distributor.

Anaïs EMERY

Executive Director of Geneva International Film festival & Digital Market

Anaïs Emery was appointed the new executive director of the Geneva International Film Festival and Digital Market (GIFF) in January 2021. Prior to this she directed the Utopiales International Festival of Science Fiction in Nantes (France) and was an independent film programmer. A co-founder of the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), she was its artistic director from 2006 to 2020, helping the festival gain international acclaim. In 2017, she completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in communication and web expertise at the University of Geneva alongside her studies in cinematography. Anaïs is committed to young Swiss filmmakers and innovation, works within Cinéforom and the Swiss Film Academy and launched the FutureStoryWorlds@CERN workshop, which aims to consolidate the futuridtic narrative in immersive media.

Sten-Kristian SALUVEER

Strategic Advisor & Head of Cannes Next / CEO of Storytek

Sten-Kristian Saluveer is a visionary in media and technology, known for pioneering initiatives between South Korea, Japan, and Europe, and creating Estonia's first genre film festival, Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival(abbreviated HÕFF). He founded Storytek, a media tech innovation hub, and co-developed future strategies for the European Film and Media sector. Sten led Horizon 2020-backed STADIEM and devised the Startup Estonia 2.0 strategy. He serves on the advisory board of Future Hubs at VRT and as Strategic Advisor for NEXT at Marche Du Film, Festival de Cannes. Additionally, he curates 'Picture This' conference in Copenhagen and exclusive tech innovator meetings with EU Commissioner Thierry Breton. Sten advises on media, AI, and the metaverse, and has produced notable projects like Sakamoto Ryuichi's Cannes performance and the XR work MURALS (2023), winning the Audience Award at BFI London Film Festival.
