Overview

To ensure a fair and rigorous selection process for its awards, NAFF invites distinguished professionals from various sectors of the film industry to serve as jurors. The main jury members conduct in-person evaluations of the projects shortlisted through the preliminary selection, and ultimately determine the recipients of the Cash Award and the Post-production Support Award.

Main Jury

KWON Hojin

Korea / SBS Medianet / Deputy Director

KWON Hojin is a seasoned content strategist with over 33 years of experience at SBS Media Group, where he currently serves as Senior Executive Director of SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) Medianet. Beginning his career at LG International in 1990, he joined SBS Productions in 1992 playing a pioneering role in the overseas distribution of Korean films and dramas. As a key figure in the first generation of the 'Hallyu: Korean Wave', he laid the groundwork for the global expansion of K-content. Throughout his career, KWON has been instrumental in planning and producing a wide range of content, including films, dramas, documentaries, and animations, through acquisitions, investments, and international co-productions. KWON is a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the organizer of the International Emmy Awards. He serves as a juror at major global festivals, including Series Mania (France), Rockie Awards (Canada), Global Entertainment Awards (UK), TCCF (Taiwan) and Asian Television Awards, among others. His contributions continue to elevate the global presence of Korean content in the era of 'Hallyu'.

Alexis PERRIN

France / Rumble Fish Production / CEO, Producer

Ex-production executive at VFX powerhouse BUF (The Grandmaster, Life of Pi, Thor, Enter the Void), Alexis PERRIN is the president of Rumble Fish Productions (Vesper, Saloum, Cities of Last Things); and was also co-founder of French mini studio Logical Pictures (Revenge, Incident In a Ghostland, Swallow).

CHANG Sanling

Taiwan / Top Film / International Consultant

International Sales and festival agent. CHANG has been engaged in film overseas promotion and sales since 1994. Recent promotional works include Dear Ex, I Missed You, We Are Champions, Wild Sparrow, Dear Tenant, I WeirDo, Increasing Echo, The Abandoned, Bad Education, A Boy And A Girl, and Suffocating Love, The Uniform, Organ Child, and etc. She is also the coordinator for Far East Film Festival in Italy, the Taiwan Representative of Asian Film Awards, and the Advisor of HAF.

Paul D. KIM

Korea / Hive Filmworks Inc. / CEO

Entering the film industry first as an international sales agent in the early 2000s, he has conducted international distribution of multiple domestic films. Based on the long-established overseas network, he is working on global projects centered in Asia. Among them, the film Till We Meet Again, co-produced with Taiwan, was selected as the opening film for BIFAN 2021 and 2021 Taipei Film Festival. In the same year, the Taiwanese co-produced film Treat or Trick, a remake of To Catch a Virgin Ghost, won the Jury Prize at BIFAN 2021 and was selected as the closing film of the 2021 Taipei Film Festival. Currently, as CEO of Hive Filmworks Inc., he conducts international sales, production, co-production, and domestic/international distribution and acquisition.

MO Eunyoung

Korea / Seoul Independent Film Festival / Festival Director

MO Eunyoung majored in film and animation theory. She was a writer for EBS programs such as Cinema Paradise and Anitopia , and she contributed to magazines and daily newspapers such as FILM2.0 , DVD2.0 , and KINO as a film critic. She also worked as a programmer for KOFA (Korean Film Archive Cinematheque) for multiple years after it first opened. After the years she worked as a programmer at BIFAN and Seoul Indie-AniFest, she is currently at the Seoul Independent Film Festival as a festival director. She has also organized a number of fusion performances that join classic films with various genres, such as the silent film narration performance of Crossroad of Youngsters .

CHO Yoonjung

Korea / BLUEMOONPARK Co., Ltd / CEO, Producer

After graduating from Ewha Womans University, she worked at Cine2000, Keyweckshidae, and Yedang Entertainment Film Production, where she worked in various roles such as film production, planning, rights purchase, marketing, overseas co-production, and overseas location. As a founding promoter of the Producers Guild of Korea in 2007, he tried to contribute to the role and position of producers in Korea and served as the organizing chairman, president, and international chairman. In 2013, he played a role as the international chairman in establishing an MOU cooperation system with the American producers' unions PGA and PGK to lay the foundation for a network with producers around the world. In 2020 and 2021, he served as the business manager of S#1, the Korean Film Planning and Development Capacity Building Center to strengthen the connection between new creators and the industry, and laid the foundation for the center. As of 2024, he is currently serving as a director (steering committee member) of PGK and has established BLUEMOONPARK Co.,Ltd, a production company specializing in motion picture and digital contents, and is planning and producing various works at home and abroad.

Jongsuk Thomas NAM

Korea / Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival / Programmer of English-speaking countries¡¯ cinema & NAFF Managing Director

Jongsuk Thomas Nam majored in RTVF/Communication Arts. He returned to Korea from the US to be an assistant director for the film Jungle Story (1996). He worked for the Busan Film Festival from 1997 on as the coordinator of the Kim Kiyoung Retrospective, a festival coordinator at BIFF, and the senior coordinator of the Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP). After working as the general secretary of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC), he joined the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in 2007 as a staff member and also worked for the festival as an expert adviser. He is currently a festival programmer for BIFAN and the managing director of the Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF). He also works as the curator for the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, Sitges Film Festival FanPitch in Spain, Focus Asia section of Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, Blood Window of Ventana Sur in Argentina.

Jin PARK

Korea / Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival / Programmer of cinema from Europe, Asian and other territories

Jin Park studied journalism and film theory. He worked as a critic for film magazines such as KINO , FILM2.0 , and Screen . After getting his start as a programmer at the Seoul Eco Film Festival, he went on to work as a programmer and secretary general for several famous Korean film festivals, including BIFAN, Busan International Film Festival, and DMZ International Documentary Film Festival. Park also has been a genre film advisor to the Berlin International Film Festival Selection Committee since 2024. He currently teaches film theory and contemporary Korean cinema at Kyunghee Univ.

Martin LEE

Korea / Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival / Programmer of cinema from Asian and Korean

Martin Lee majored in Chinese literature and English literature. He took the Degree of Master of Film Arts Screenwriting. He worked at the Korean Film Archive and Asian Film Market. He began his career at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in 2010 as the Program Coordinator. Over the years, he has held key positions including Head of Content Management and Program Manager. He is currently serving as a Programmer, charged in Asian and Korean films.

Samantha MOON

Korea / Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival / Industry Program Manager

Samantha Moon majored in philosophy and minored in multimedia, first started working in the film industry in 2008. After serving as the program manager of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, she has been working as the industry program manager of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. She has directed several short films, and worked as an artist. She has created artist groups, most notably Nomaki(Nomad Kirke) to organize various types of contemporary exhibitions including audio-visual, media installation, and improvisation performance.
