Goedam Short Film Production Support
The Goedam Short Film Production Support program is dedicated to supporting the production of short films based on the theme of ¡°Goedam¡±. Launched in 2020, this initiative is a collaboration between the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and Bucheon City, a UNESCO Creative City for Literature, and is now in its fifth year. Our commitment lies in sustaining the production of Korean genre films.
From 2020 to 2024, the program has supported a total of 34 short films, with 29 of them completed and showcased at leading domestic and international film festivals, including the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Notably, the 2022 film Hamjinabi directed by Lee Sangmin was selected for the International Competition at the 2023 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, underscoring the global impact of Korean short films.
